The main goal of this research is to assess the impacts of climate change for Canada (Quebec) on growth dynamics, the use of non-structural carbohydrates and the quality of wood in Picea mariana through the modulation of environmental parameters in the forest (rainfall and temperature) and in controlled environmental (water deficit and thermal gradient).
