His main fields of research are:
- wood chemistry, wettability and factors that affect wood adhesion in relation to the chemical, physical and technological properties of the surface. Analysis of extractives by GC-MS, characterization of wood with nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) and spectroscopic techniques as MIR, NIR, UV-VIS;
- characterization of adhesives and development of bio-adhesives for wood gluing.
Overall her research skills cover highly interdisciplinary research areas ranging from wood chemistry, adhesives chemistry, analytical chemistry, engineering, botanical biology, forest science.
